## To define the length of bar by profiles

When the option ''To define by profiles'' is checked, of the mitres will be added to the zone of entered. These tabs will allow you to specify for each type of profile:

- The choice lengths of bar :

- “Imposed” length :

Here we find the choice such as defined in the zone ''Machine & bars''. Possibility of re-using falls.

With the option ''Imposed'' checked, all the other options are grayed.

- Length “Deduced between…” :

This option makes it possible to give a range in which the tool will calculate the optimum length to obtain a minimum of falls. This option also makes it possible to ask for a calculation of two lengths optimum.

- Graphic analysis :

The button allows to calculate the length of optimal bar to obtain a minimum of fall.

The graph appears only if one asks the utility to calculate the length of optimal bar and that this length is not imposed in the zone ''Choice lengths of bar''.

The option '' Iteration finesse '' makes it possible to modify the smoothness of iteration according to this calculation:

(Lg max - Lg min) /finess, that is to say for the example above (7000-4000)/100 = 30 iterations.

In these 2 graphs, are visualized:

- In orange principal lengths optimized and advised by the tool.

- In blue % of fall for a length of bar given.

- In green the number of bars necessary.

Example:

If I launch the analysis with the parameters above:

It appears, during the analysis, that the optimal bar to obtain a minimum of fall is a bar of 5700 (1.21% of fall).

If you want to use another length of bar, it is necessary to force the length in “Lengths of the rough bars”.

For example: To use a bar of 5500.

The report will take into account the selected bar.

- To separate the flows in batches :

If one asks for a number of lengths of bars to determine higher than 1, the tool will separate the big lengths from smallest. Here the user will be able to intervene over the length of separation of the batches.

- Example : with a list of flows comprising different lengths.

The button allows to display the various lengths of bars.

The cursor makes it possible to select the length of separation of the batches.

A batch in blue, with the cuts length 2200; 2210

A batch in orange with the cuts length 1210…; 550

- For having defined the batches, it is necessary to launch the graphic analysis to calculate the lengths of optimal bars.

It appears, during the analysis, that the optimal bar for the batch in blue is a bar of 4600 (1.74% of fall) and for the batch out of orange of 5400 (1.7% of fall). By default the report will take into account these bars.

If you want to use another length of bar, it is necessary to force the length in “Lengths of the rough bars”.

It is possible to impose only length 1 or length 2.

The report will take into account the selected bars.
