• ''Separator'' :

Concerning the files of coordinates in text format (txt) it is necessary to indicate which character will be detected as separator. You can choose from a drop-down list ''./'' '','' '':'' '';''

Example:

In this text file, the values to be taken into account have decimals, so the separator should be ''.;''. If there are only 2 values per line a 2D sketch will be created, if the line contains 3 values a 3D sketch will be created (provided that the type of curve selected is not ''2D sketch''). If a series of values is separated by an empty line several entities will be created.

or

  • ''Units'' :

Whatever the format of the file used, the unit of the values must be indicated here.

  • ''2D sketch'' :

The generation of 2D sketches can be done on a plane offset in Z with respect to the face or plane selected in 2D sketch options.

The Z offset value will be taken from the coordinate file (third value if it is a text file or third column if it is an Excel file).

A tolerance value is specified for the Z reading. This means that if the values are not exactly the same, the values beyond the tolerance will not be taken into account.

  • ''Type of coordinates'' :

For the interpretation of the coordinates recovered from the files, 2 types are availableCartesian'' or ''Fleece''.

If the '' typeFleeceis selected, it is necessary to specify whether the value read is expressed in ''.Degree'' or in Radian''.

  • ''Remove multiple points'' :

Generally, the coordinate files come from precise surveys or are derived from calculation formulas. On some lines, the 3 values can be identical or very close. In this case it is not advised to keep these coordinates in order to avoid generating points that are too close or lines that are too small. It is possible to establish rules to ignore these coordinates.

Example:

    • ''No'' : all the coordinates will be processed to generate the entity.

In this case, all contact information will be retained.

    • ''All'' : all the coordinates included in the specified tolerance will be removed and thus ignored to generate the entity, only the first coordinate met will be taken into account.

In this case all crossed out coordinates will not be kept.

    • ''Only consecutive'' : only the coordinates included in the specified tolerance and following each other will be deleted and thus ignored to generate the entity.

In this case all crossed out coordinates will not be kept.

    • ''Only the ends'' : if the first and the last coordinates are included in the specified tolerance, the last one will be ignored to generate the entity.

In this case the last coordinate will not be retained.
