All translations made with DrawingTranslate are made from the glossary, so it must be created before using the utility.

If no glossary is present (this is the case when using the DrawingTranslate tool for the first time), you have to run the process once on one or more files and save the glossary with the translations.

If the translation database is empty the following message will appear in the window.

Choice of languages for translation, it is possible to check or uncheck all languages:

 


Click on the button "Apply".

If annotations were not found in the translation file, this message appears prompting you to export the annotations:


 


Save the CSV file. You can view the processing report.

All annotations are inserted in the first corresponding column and a column is also created for each selected translation language.


 


In our example, we must now manually translate all notes for the columns ''English'' and ''German''.


 


Save the table. This table is not the glossary, it must now be merged into the glossary.


Modification of the glossary :

The glossary can be modified at any time to add or remove notes (see the location of the glossary file in the ''treatment options''). There are two solutions for this:

  • Manually: Manually add notes and translations to the glossary.
  • Creating a table: Create a new table (as seen above), and merge this new table with the glossary.

New notes will be inserted in the glossary excluding existing notes.
