Can be operated on assemblies.

This operation allows, in an assembly, to create a ''mono-configuration'' document per configuration used and replace the components in question in the assemblies.

The naming rule :

The operation does not open the documents in SOLIDWORKS unless the declinations do not exist beforehand.

Components with the property "IsFastener=1" are not taken into account.

Components belonging to a library folder (see Options) are also not taken into account.

Example :

I take the case of an assembly "ASM1". It includes components "Carre" and "Round"each used in different configurations".1 hole" and "2 holes".

  • Step 1: I set the condition "If the assembly contains a particular component" in the specified folder "E:\...\RPE\BIB" containing components using several configurations.

  • Step 2: I set up an operation to save each of the components with the specified name. In this example the file save will be "Name" followed by "Configuration name".

Important: the directory defined in the condition must be identical to that of the location of the documents to be replaced.

As soon as the processing is finished, I can see that the files have been created and replaced in the assembly while keeping all the associated references and constraints.

A report of the treatment performed can be displayed specifying the operations performed successfully or unsuccessfully.
