• Linking new odds values to ... :

A drop-down menu allows to choose, when modifying an assembly from the table, if the new dimension of a component should apply to the active configuration, to all configurations or according to the setting when saving the part (Dimension setting).

To make a comparison with what happens in the 3D file, it comes back to the choices we have when we modify a dimension in 3D except for the option "Specify configurations" which is not possible in the Excel file.

  • Extract :

Here we choose whether to build the table with all components of the head assembly or only the "Part" components or only the "Assembly" components.

  • Component identification property :

Each component (part, assembly,...) used in SOLIDWORKS is identified by a unique identification number.

  • Keeping the order of the components :

When the "Build Table" function is used, it is possible to check this option to list components in the order of the components inserted in the assembly.

  • Reading level :

If you have a head assembly that has several subassembly levels and you do not want to use all of them, you can specify which level to consider.
