This dialog box allows you to create a list of folders automatically.

allows you to add a location.

allows you, after selecting a location, to delete it from the list.

allows you, after selecting a location, to modify it.

The locations are applied in the order in which they are created, so it is possible to change this order by using the arrows or .

For each added location, a dialog box allows to define the location.


 


Select the destination directory using the . then it is possible to check two additional options :

  • - allows you to copy files into the same subfolders.
  •   - allows to copy documents in subfolders according to a specified property. Example of use with the property "Description". In the assembly if components have a property "Description"If you enter a value (e.g. "COM" or "FAB"), they will be stored in subdirectories named "COM" and "FAB".
    • If this option is checked, these files are added to the destination folder but in a subfolder named after their original folders.
    • If this option is not checked (works as before when this option did not exist), documents that are outside the folder of the assembly to be copied (library part outside the project or part of another project) are added to the destination folder.


 


Each location must meet one condition and one condition only. The specified destination location must exist before applying the function.

- "Always"This indicates that, whatever the type of document, it will be duplicated in the specified destination directory.

- "Document part"indicates that the document will be duplicated, in the specified destination directory, only if it is a part.

- "Assembly document"indicates that the document will be duplicated, in the specified destination directory, only if it is an assembly.

- "Document plan"This indicates that the document will be duplicated, in the specified destination directory, only if it is a drawing.

- "Document Toolbox"This indicates that the document will be duplicated, in the specified destination directory, only if it is a part from the Toolbox.

- "Non-SW document"This indicates that all non-SOLIDWORKS documents will be duplicated in the specified destination directory.

- "If the property (*)"This condition indicates that all documents containing a named property will be duplicated in the specified destination directory. For this condition to be true, the property must exist on the document before duplication. The value of the property can be tested  .

- "If the date"indicates that all documents, whose date  is than a certain date, will be duplicated in the specified destination directory.

- "If the location of the document"This indicates that the documents in the specified location will be duplicated in the specified destination directory.

- "Depending on the size of the file"indicates that the documents  than a certain size will be duplicated in the specified destination directory.

The button allows you to apply the location of a location.
