The tools Integration, ProjectManager and ProjectExplorer allow you to rename the generated files using a simplified or advanced definition, here is the help concerning this renaming.

To do this, we have 2 setting modes:

  • Simplified - This mode limits the number to 4 rules to be taken into account or not.
  • Advanced - This mode allows you to create multiple rules, save and play favorites of predefined rules etc...

For each selected rule it is possible to have a preview of the renaming.

You can define a default location for saving the document after renaming.

The addition of a field for certain rules can be filled in a certain way.

Simplified mode

The simplified mode offers 4 naming rules that can be activated or not. The first 3 can be activated individually. Activating the fourth one automatically deactivates the others as the name is completely replaced.

In the example above, the first 3 rules have been activated.

Replace or add the first 2 characters with "VI" followed by "Project"then replace the last 2 characters of the name with "PR" and finally we replace the string "2016" by "2017".

See the renaming overview.

Fill in the field either manually or to add a particular field click on .

Advanced mode

The definition of the new name will follow a ''List of selected rules''.

Clicking to add a field, allows to access a window to select a particular parameter.

Definition of the new name :
