Name definition:

 

The name definition allows to concatenate variables, information (string),   (See  Generate fields).


Location:

For each part or assembly file in the list, a drawing is created. The save directory can be the one of the 3D document or be specified  .


Configuration management:

  •   if the 3d document contains configurations, by selecting this icon you can request the creation of :
    • a drawing of the active configuration
    • one sheet per configuration
    • a layout by configuration

In the latter case, it is possible to add the name of the configuration to the name of the document.

Example, the file '' partBody-300.sldprtIf the option ''Create a plan by configuration'' is checked, the result will be the creation of 4 files:

300-Body-Default.slddrw,  300-Body-Long=66.slddrw, 300-Body-Long=70.slddrw, 300-Body-Long=80.slddrw


 


Quotation options:

  by selecting this icon you can select the types of entities that will be inserted or added automatically. The dialog box is divided into three parts:

    • Objects of the documents ''PartHere you insert objects such as dimensions for the drawing, dimensions for the drilling assistant, annotations for mechanical welding, reference dimensions or even preferences such as drawing dimensions, display of temporary axes etc...


    


    • Objects of the documents''  AssemblyHere you insert objects such as dimensions for the drawing, dimensions for the drilling assistant, annotations for mechanical welding, reference dimensions or even preferences such as drawing dimensions, display of temporary axes etc...


 


    • Objects of the documents'' PlanThis is the most complete part, it is here that objects such as construction lines, centering axes or bubbles are inserted. These annotations can be assigned to a particular layer if it is specified and present in the document template used. If you wish to insert tables automatically, simply activate the icon and select the table model for each of the requested types (revision table, drilling table, welded parts list table, bill of material, etc.). This list proposes the table models found in the folders declared in the SOLIDWORKS general options. These tables may or may not be attached to the inking point.
