If you are having trouble activating the myCADtools add-in, here are a few things to do before contacting support.

Start in the order they are listed in order of complexity:

  1. Empty Windows temporary :
    • Stop SOLIDWORKS and all applications.
    • In a Windows explorer, put %temp% in the address bar, the Windows temp folder will be selected, empty the content.
    • Restart the workstation.
  1. Do a SOLIDWORKS installation repair.
  2. Stop the antivirus :
    • If you are using an antivirus, try to disable it for the duration of the test.
    • If you see a myCADtools file that conflicts with the antivirus (please report it to myCADtools support)
  1. Disable other add-ons:
    • Tools/Additions

  


    • Disable all add-ons at startup (right)
    • Restart SOLIDWORKS.
    • Only activate myCADtools.
