When the ''SelectMaterial'' utility is launched, the interface is activated in the task pane.

As with any use of this task pane, it can be pinned. so that it remains visible.


     


Material databases are displayed in the upper section:

  • indicates a SOLIDWORKS database file that cannot be modified.
  • indicates a custom database file.

When a material is selected, all the information related to this material is displayed: mechanical properties, appearance, hatchings, filled-in properties with their description, etc., enabling you to target the material to be applied to the part.
