Setting up CacheRefresh involves two steps:


  1. Definitions of the CacheRefresh options in myPDMtools


  1. Defining actions on the Windows side using Windows Task.


List of available actions:


  • Clearing the local cache deletes the files on your computer.


  • "Get Latest Versions"lets you download the latest versions of the files to your local machine.


  • "Archive"allows you to archive all extracted files

For this operation, you must enter the user's password so that the user who retrieved the document is the one who archives it. If the password is not entered, the file will not be archived.


  • "Archive and Keep Extracted"allows you to archive all extracted files and re-extract them to create a backup

With this action, the extracted documents will remain as they are, unlike when using the "Archive" action alone.

For this operation, you must enter the user's password so that the user who extracted the document is the one who archives and re-extracts it. If the password is not entered, the file will not be archived.

This action increases the size of the trunk and versions.


  • Delete Deleted Files

This action empties the Recycle Bin of a PDM folder; subfolders are automatically included in the deletion.

This action is irreversible.
