Problem:

When uninstalling or reinstalling a version of SOLIDWORKS or SOLIDWORKS PDM, a SOLIDWORKS file (swdocumentmgr.dll) may no longer be registered with Windows.

Many myPDMtools tools use this SOLIDWORKS file, particularly the PDMProperties tool, which allows you to assign variables. When the swdocumentmgr.dll file is no longer registered, nothing happens when you launch the PDMProperties tool.

Solution:

To resolve this issue, please close all software related to SOLIDWORKS and SOLIDWORKS PDM, and then follow these steps:
