During archiving, if the value of the variable controlled by the SerialNumber is empty, then the tool will always create the value of the SerialNumber.

If the option:Recalculate SerialNumber value for each archive is checked, then the SerialNumber will recalculate a value at each archive (without taking a new number) if a counter has been defined in the value.

Calculating the SerialNumber is performed when the file has been modified and is being archived (modification of a variable value, for example).

The button Increment will take a new counter value.

Note The counter value has been saved (on the file card) so that the counter does not increment.
