PDMRebuild can be part of a TaskActions task sequence.


This is not the same rebuilding method as the one used by the right-click tool. In TaskActions, the PDMRebuild tool allows you to rebuild SOLIDWORKS documents that change status. The parents of documents that change status are not taken into account.


For non-SOLIDWORKS files, recreate the reference links as they were set up in the latest version.


Options:

We can define the file extensions for the files to be reconstructed


SOLIDWORKS Options:


  • SOLIDWORKS Reconstruction Type:
    • Force Rebuild: Rebuilds all functions in the active configuration
    • Rebuild in All Configurations: Rebuilds the modified functions in all configurations.
    • Force the rebuilding of all configurations: Rebuilds all functions in all configurations.


  • Extract Dependencies: Allows you to save dependencies when rebuilding an assembly or drawing
