When exporting information from PDM to ERP, the generated elements are :

  • In the case of documents ROOM or without reference link à Only 1 type of information :
    • The attributes of the PARTS
    • Possibility to export the drawing in PDF format and associated information
  • In the case of ASSEMBLY documents or file with child reference links à 2 types of information :
    • Nomenclature links of the ASSEMBLY(S)
    • The attributes of all the elements concerned by the NAME(s)

The BOM will be exported as "Last Version" or "As built depending on options".

Different cases can occur with regard to the files generated during a PDM export, depending on the elements concerned and the options set in the product configuration.

In order to clarify the behaviour of Gateway PDMWe illustrate below the different cases that can be encountered:

For the proper functioning of Gateway PDMit should be noted that the filename definition (made in the Gateway PDM) should be made so that each file has a unique name.

This should be part of the methodology for implementing the Gateway PDM. For example: Embed in the generated filename : Name of the part and its configuration .
