Additional options
This part defines the following parameters for retrieving the exchange file and searching for documents to be processed in PDM
Import file location
The location of the exchange folder must be defined in this parameter.
This is a Windows directory managed by PDM Gateway, containing four subdirectories ( PDM/ERP/LOGS/ARCHIVES).
This directory is the "father directory", under which must exist the following sub-directories :
- PDM à Directory containing files in neutral format for information exported from PDM to ERP
- ERP à Directory containing files in neutral format for information imported from ERP to PDM
- Archives à Directory containing the last processed neutral files
- Logs à Contains the log files generated by PDM Gateway
During the import process, PDM Gateway retrieves the import files generated by the ERP, in the ERP folder.
After processing, PDM Gateway moves the import file to the Archives folder.
If the above option is checked, it will move the file to the Archives folder only if the task is successful.
For example, if a document cannot be modified because it is retrieved by another user, the file will be reprocessed until it is accessible.
Search Options
The following parameters allow you to customize the search for documents to be processed by the interface.
- Item ID :
- It is necessary to indicate if the search is carried out with the extension taken into account or not, according to the filename indicated in the import file.
- A PDM variable can also be used as an identifier.
- Case sensitive: Check this option to take into account capital/min -> this option is only valid for file names
- Search Location (Optional): You can specify a PDM folder to search for the document to be processed. PDM Gateway will search for the document only in the specified folder and its subfolders.
Apply an XSL file
This option allows you to transform an import file from the ERP into a PDM Gateway compatible XML format.
The file XSL selected must be stored on a server available from the client workstations.
