This module allows you to create all types of dials (Timer, Digit, Letters, Tachometer ...) according to certain parameters. The result will be retrieved in SOLIDWORKS as a sketch, extrusion or surface. Several dials can be created in the same function.

Allows you to select the positioning and reference of the dial geometry. The tab Entity allows you to select a circle or an arc of a circle belonging to a sketch or an edge of the part.

Selects the type of geometry to be generated on the dial (numbers, letters, etc.). You can import character strings (Days, Months, etc.) from a text file whose location is defined in the "Options" tab.

Depending on the option of the indication chosen, this window will propose the parameters to define the geometry of the indexing.

Index - You can choose among the shapes (rectangle, circle, ellipse, triangle, trapezium etc.).

Figures or Imported Characters - we will specify the font and size to be used.

The list proposed for the choice of the imported characters is defined in a text file.

If you choose a "Numbers" or "Imported Characters" type of index, you can activate the "Offset" zone to center the text within a zone.

In this area we define the parameters concerning the number of occurrences of the indexing, those that can be hidden. The diameter on which the geometry will be positioned, the inclination, the justification, etc...

This area allows you to choose how the geometry will be exported to the SOLIDWORKS part: Sketch, Extrusion or Surface. You can also ask to merge the generated bodies.

This part allows you to navigate among the different dials. Indeed each dial can contain a different geometry and references. The dials can be named.

The color allows to visualize the different dials being created. The dial you are on is always displayed with the color Black.

Figures or Imported characters - As we saw earlier, for these types of indexing, we have the option of framing the text in a zone. Changes to the offset values apply to the selected font size. The example below shows the impact of the option with and without "Offset".

This tab allows, in particular, to point to the text file in order to use the indexing Imported Characters.
