Link the value to the Excel calculation - By right-clicking on a dimension, the contextual menu offers a new option to link the dimension to a global variable.

A prompt window appears with all global variables whose syntax has been prepared in the Excel file. The choice is made by scrolling the group and then selecting the name of the variable.

The value begins with the character =. It is possible to enter the most common transactions.

Characters currently supported: +, -, *, /, "", (), etc...


 


The tool performs a syntax check.

- indicates that the value can be released.

- indicates that the value is not complete and cannot be validated. Example If a parenthesis has been opened and there is no closing parenthesis.

Once the syntax is validated, the result will be found in the SOLIDWORKS equation manager.
