The options are accessible from the FeatureManager Options button.

It is possible to specify an output directory. This can use the same directory as the drawing directory.

If this option is checked, the DXF file will be generated in the same folder as the SOLIDWORKS drawing file.

Otherwise, it is necessary to define a location for the DXF generation.

The file name format can be defined according to three criteria:

Name of the plan Allows to generate a DXF with the same name as the drawing.

Date_Name of plan   Generates a DXF containing the current date followed by the name of the plan separated by the " " character._".

Name of the plan_Date   Generates a DXF containing the name of the plan and the current date, separated by the " " character._".

It is also possible to use different symbols for the origin and alignments, just customize these blocks and select the corresponding desired block file in this window.

By default the blocks are as follows:

Block for the origin on a color layer green.

Block for alignments on a color layer red.

This option automatically removes all sketch, annotation and dimension entities in the generated DXF file.

For example, a DXF file that has been generated without the option Clean up the file.

The same DXF export with the option Clean up the file.
