Create a document for each configuration:

This option allows you to create a document for each configuration of your selected files.

Naming rule - You will have to create a naming rule to eventually name the file with a concatenation of the name with the configuration name.

For conversion to IGES of a file with 4 configurations (Default, From 100, From 200, From 300).

4 IGES files are created -->

Purge inactive configurations and rename the remaining configuration:

This option is only used for conversion to SOLIDWORKS format.

This option allows you to create a part file by configuration and in each file to delete the inactive configurations, then to rename the file configuration.

4 files are created -->

For example: The "010-Deck gun - From 100". was created from the configuration "From 100." of the file "010-Bridge gun.sldprt". The other configurations were deleted and the remaining configuration was renamed "Default".

Pull up the properties of the remaining configuration on the document:

Checking this option moves the properties that were in the tab "Configuration specific" to the tab "Customize" as there is only one configuration left in the document.

For drawing exports, create detached drawings:

Checking this option saves the selected drawing files in "Detached layout". The time required to open a detached drawing may be shorter because the model files are not loaded into memory.

Open the drawings in drawing mode:

(available from SOLIDWORKS 2021)

By checking this option you automate the opening of SOLIDWORKS files in the "dressing" mode.

This mode improves productivity by opening drawings with complex assemblies, a large number of sheets and many resource-intensive configurations or views in seconds.
