It is also possible to export the coordinates of the points created in ASCII or Excel format for manufacturing purposes, interfacing with other software or communication with the outside world.

The tool CreatePoints is used in a SOLIDWORKS part environment.

Three types of point generation are currently available:

• Generation of points on a series of curves.
• Generation of points on a surface by isoparametric distribution.
• Generation of points on a series of surfaces by grid repetition.

The coordinates of the created points can be exported by setting the parameters in ''Results''.

Attention : when the 3D model evolves, there is no automatic update of the geometries from the tool. To update the information, simply restart the tool.
