The ''Encompassing Box'' mode allows you to create properties of the complete part by specifying :

  • A reference frame for the calculation: the origin of the part, the main axes of the part or a custom coordinate system.
  • A uniform or different shift along the 3 axes with respect to the choice of the reference frame.

To get the result in the table click on the button .


Bounding box offset :

The offset is made all around the part.

Example :

    • by specifying a different value for each of the three axes, the results in the table show the calculated values.


 


    • By checking the '' option All the sameOnly one offset value is required.


 


By choosing a previously created coordinate system, the bounding box is then calculated taking into account the offset.

Example By selecting one of the two coordinate systems here, ''System 1''.


 



It is possible to allow the EntityProperties function to always be at the bottom of the construction tree and thus to have the bounding box up to date in spite of the 3D modifications.
