By a simple drag and drop we drop the icon ''.SOLIDWORKS variablesto the desired location in the column ''.Properties''. Or ''Double click'' on the icon ''.SOLIDWORKS variables''.

This type of property allows you to retrieve in a field the SOLIDWORKS variables of the item.

We find, in the ''SOLIDWORKS variablesA drop-down menu with all the SOLIDWORKS variables. We directly retrieve the evaluated value (Mass, Density, Volume ...) and calculate by SmartProperties such as the configuration, the active configuration, name of the welded part ...

We find in this list of variables evaluated by SOLIDWORKS such as mass, material, density ..., but also properties such as :

- Document name - returns the name of the document

- Active configuration name - returns the name of the active configuration of the document

- Configuration name - returns the name of the configuration on which the property is applied

- Parent document name - in the case of a part selection in the context of an assembly

- Creation date - returns the creation date of the document

- Folder - returns the name of the folder in which the document is saved

- SOLIDWORKS version - returns the version number of SOLIDWORKS in which the document is saved (e.g. SOLIDWORKS 2017)

- Path - returns the full document path of the folder where the document is saved

- ...
