Distribution by number of points
This option creates points along the isoparametric lines of the selected face, specifying only the number of points. 
in both directions U and V.
Direction can be reversed by clicking on the 
. This direction is indicated by the two arrows positioned at the selected starting point.
When the selected starting point is located inside the surface, you can ask the CreatePoints generate points symmetrical with respect to the direction U and/or management V.
