Presentation
This tool allows you to find your SOLIDWORKS documents through :
- From a simple interface by specifying the name or part of the name, the document type, a property value, etc...
- A more comprehensive interface that allows any combination of document selection criteria (size, mass, configuration, file type, etc.)..
- A database analysis tab to highlight potential problems in your SOLIDWORKS document databases:
- Orphan parts (parts that are not used anywhere (without drawing or parent assembly).
- Lost dependencies (some documents may have been moved or deleted, some document dependencies point to a missing file).
- Duplicate document. In SOLIDWORKS design methodology, it is dangerous to use identical names for different documents, so this feature highlights these documents.
- List all drawings in your research file(s) that refer to [N] 3D documents.
You can access this tool from :
- The Windows Start menu.
- The myCADpassport menu.
- The LocalHelp interface.
Base updates can also be programmed in :
- FindDocuments settings
- The tool TaskPlanner
