In this tab we define all search criteria (property, file type, configurations, etc.).

The list of criteria can be displayed as follows:

  • Or by group.
  • Or by alphabetical list (all groups combined).

The proposed groups of criteria are fixed. They cannot be removed or added to.

  • Most criteria are "full text" fields. In other words, all you have to do is fill in the value. The "*"(wildcard) allows you to leave this field blank.
  • To analyze files with one or more named properties, you can select the names from a list.

Click on the then select the property name from the list. This list is extracted from the properties contained in all the files in the database. By default, when you select several properties, the "OR" operator is used, but it is possible, by checking the option, to use the "AND" operator. It is also possible to select a value from all the property values found in this database.

Repeat if you wish to add more than one property.

To remove a property from the search criteria, simply select it and click on the icon. .

So in this example, only files containing these 2 properties named with these values will be analyzed.

  • Certain properties may meet a particular criterion.

Example : "Part type" equal to "Mechanically welded".

Only mechanically welded parts will be analyzed.

Example : "Part type = Mechanically welded".

Only mechanically welded parts will be analyzed.

Example : "Toobox = Standard".

Only parts from the Toolbox library will be analyzed.

  • Some properties are numeric, so you can enter a number or a range of values.

Example : "Assemblies" of which "number of components" is included "between 0 and 100 components".

To reset all criteria, simply right-click on any criterion and select "Reset".New search".

You can search for missing information. For example, I'd like to search for all files that don't have the configuration named "Config1". In this case, simply add the "!".
