When a project is selected, you can click on a file in the list to get a graphical preview of the element. This window can display either a 3D component or a 2D drawing. This is the thumbnail saved by SOLIDWORKS and no manipulation can be made in this window.





By clicking on the you'll find an explanation of the different icons used to indicate the type of file. Parts and assembly documents can be :

  • be read-only
  • be in a state of deletion
  • be inserted as a virtual component
  • indicate that it is a Toolbox component
  • etc...
