myCADtools SheetMetalManufacturing : Automate sheet metal exports

Intelligent export of projects with numerous sheet metal parts of different thicknesses is a real challenge. Are you going to sort them manually? That should be more convenient!

In SOLIDWORKS, it is not possible, by default, to generate flat exports in batches. The SOLIDWORKS Task Scheduler helps to a certain extent, but the drawings must already be on the drawing. What's more, the task planner is not available for SOLIDWORKS Standard. You can quickly conclude that there's still a lot of manual work to be done.

Automation without programming

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to export these flattenings automatically?

In myCADtools, SheetMetalManufacturing solves this problem for you. By sorting, you export the same sheet thicknesses in a single file.

In the example below, a file is selected in SheetMetalManufacturing :

Add properties (1). Use "Manage Columns" (2) to export this data with the final DXF. This information may be useful to a production department.

Under the "Options" tab, you'll find the parameters for defining the export location:

With specific export options, choose an export format (1). If necessary, sort by sheet or material thickness (2):
