Problems activating the myCADtools add-in
If you're having trouble activating the myCADtools add-in, here are a few things to do before contacting support.
Start in order of complexity:
- Empty Windows temporary :
- Stop SOLIDWORKS and all applications.
- In Windows Explorer, place %temp% in the address bar, the Windows temporary folder will be selected, empty the contents.
- Restart the workstation.
- Perform a SOLIDWORKS installation repair.
- Stop antivirus :
- If you use antivirus software, try disabling it for the duration of the test.
- If you find a myCADtools file in conflict with the antivirus (please report it to myCADtools support)
- Disable other add-ons:
- Tools/Additions
- Disable all add-ons at startup (right)
- Restart SOLIDWORKS.
- Activate only myCADtools.
