If you're having trouble activating the myCADtools add-in, here are a few things to do before contacting support.

Start in order of complexity:

  1. Empty Windows temporary :
    • Stop SOLIDWORKS and all applications.
    • In Windows Explorer, place %temp% in the address bar, the Windows temporary folder will be selected, empty the contents.
    • Restart the workstation.
  1. Perform a SOLIDWORKS installation repair.
  2. Stop antivirus :
    • If you use antivirus software, try disabling it for the duration of the test.
    • If you find a myCADtools file in conflict with the antivirus (please report it to myCADtools support)
  1. Disable other add-ons:
    • Tools/Additions

  


    • Disable all add-ons at startup (right)
    • Restart SOLIDWORKS.
    • Activate only myCADtools.
