Limitation

- The format of the PDF file is not calculated automatically, it is defined by the paper format options.

- The black and white export manually processes all entities and explodes the blocks during export, this can affect the calculated properties.

- As indicated by the message, this option requires a license. DraftSight Professional installed on the workstation from version 2015 SP2 onwards.

When a file contains several sheets, it is possible to specify how each sheet is to be exported. This choice is made by the Management of multiple sheets.

For this type of format DWG or DXFthe first sheet is usually called Model. By checking this option, it is possible to disregard it and not to export it. .

It is also possible to export only the template sheet by choosing Export template sheet only drop-down box Management of multiple sheets.

The option allows you to choose the separator to be inserted in the filename, when the option Export all sheets to separate files

The optionallows you to convert DWG and DXFwith different colours, in PDF black and white.

  • Paper size 'Manual'.

Since the tool DocPublication is based on DraftSight Professional to generate the export, it is necessary to choose, from the drop-down menu, the export format of the DWG/DXF files.

  • Paper size Defined by variables

- Width/Height :

The paper size can be selected using variables in the data maps.

In this example we use the variables Width and Height. These variables are filled directly in the data cards of the DWG or DXF files.

This makes it possible to set different paper formats for each sheet in the file.

- Name Match :

The paper size can be selected using a variable in the data cards.

In this example we use a variable (Ex Format). This variable is filled directly in the data cards of the DWG or DXF files.

This option allows you to set different paper sizes for each sheet in the file.

Select the variable to be retrieved from the drop-down menu.

The button allows you to set the sizes of each format.

If there is no indication in the variables, the default format user-defined will be used.

- Automatic :

You can recover the paper size automatically. DocPublication searches the notes in DWG files to see if a format is specified and look for a match in the table Size Sizes.

The button opens the table Sizes of formats.

Example: Format search in the notes of a file.

Search the cross-reference table.

If no note corresponds to a format or if several notes correspond to a format in the table Size Sizesthe default format user-defined will be used.
