• To use PDMPropertiesCard, you must enable the tool in the context menu:

  • PDMPropertiesCard offers two operating modes:


 


The "Use the data card from the file or folder" mode automatically retrieves the card corresponding to the item on which PDMPropertieCard was launched.

The "Force Same Data Card" mode allows you to force PDMPropertiesCard to display a specific data card, regardless of the file extension of the file on which PDMPropertiesCard was launched.


If you have configured the SQL connection information in the general settings,you will see all the data tables in the database.

Variable application can be implemented using several configuration options

    1. In the first configuration (@ for SW files)

With this option, PDMPropertiesCard will apply the variables to the first configuration in the file; in the case of a SOLIDWORKS file, this is the @ configuration:

With this option, you can specify which configuration the variables should be modified for. By using the * character and a semicolon as a separator, you can automate the configuration selection. For example, you can specify all configurations that begin with DXF or end with PDF as follows:

This last option allows you to apply the variables to all configurations in the processed files


  • Archiving comment:

As with all tools in the myPDMtools suite that re-archive files, you can enable this feature and enter the comment to be applied during archiving.

The "Replace the latest version" option prevents versioning when the processed files are archived again
