Here is the procedure for a new installation of PDM Gateway with the installation files


Retrieve the installation files using the extraction setup


  • Open the SOLIDWORKS PDM administration console.
  • Login as a user "Admin"
  • In Complement make right click new complement

 


  • In the file selection interface, select the type "All files. 
  • Click here "Open".

 

Then it will be preferable to restart the client workstations before any use of PDM Gateway.

For this you have two solutions:

  1. Closing Administration and restarting the server and Restart of all client workstations.
  2. Closing the Administration and then launching the executable file PDMRestart on the server and on all the client workstations.


PDMRestart is an executable contained in the installation folder PDM Gateway


It performs the following actions:

- Closing of the connection processes SOLIDWORKS PDM

- Closing all Windows Explorer windows

- Deletion of the local directory of SOLIDWORKS PDM add-ons


  • The add-in must then be visible in the PDM Administration Console with the version information provided.

 


The PDM Administration Console must then be restarted before any PDM Gateway task settings can be made.
