• Export :

    • "Generate a SOLIDWORKS drawing" :

By checking this option it is possible to select a drawing template (.drwdot). All exports will take this template.

    • "Generate a generic export file" :

Here you select the output format of the files, either the export format is DXF or the export format is DWG. It may be necessary :

      • Specify whether a scale factor should be applied. This information can appear in the exported file.
      • To specify the space to be provided between each view, this value is expressed in millimeters (mm).
      • When the drawing is generated it is possible to close the document or leave it open.
      • For a better reading and understanding of the generated views, it is possible to position the isometric view of the body in the unfolded state.

- "Force 3D activation" It can happen, on some files, that the generated views are wrong because they do not display the different bodies but the global file. This option allows you to use a different and longer methodology but avoids the problem.

Before/After :

  • Grouping :

If several sheet metal bodies are processed, a view for each conversion will be created. In this case it is necessary to specify whether the sheet metal bodies of the same thickness should be grouped together:

    • In a single drawing per thickness. Several files if several thicknesses.
    • In a single layout but separated in several sheets depending on material or thickness.
    • In several layouts but grouping the views by thickness or by material.
    • Or export a drawing by view with creation of sub-folders by material or thickness.

An option allows you to not generate the drawing if it already exists.
