Here you specify which document will be used as a reference for copying options.


  • Clicking on this button retrieves the document currently active in SOLIDWORKS. This document must have been saved at least once. It can be a Part, Assembly or Drawing document.
  • Clicking on this button takes you to Windows Explorer, where you can select a file located locally on the workstation or on the network.
  • Clicking on this button opens a window displaying the most recently used document.


When ticked, this option memorizes the reference document. In this case, each time the tool is launched CopyOptions the last reference file used will be automatically selected.
