• Value of a property of the referenced document - By checking this option, you can select the name of a property in the referenced document from a proposed list: for example, fill in a drawing property by retrieving the value of a property in the referenced document. The proposed list points to the custom properties file specified in the SOLIDWORKS general options (properties.txt). If you enter your file properties via the SmartProperties tool, you can ensure that this list reflects the input masks set up in SmartProperties (definition in myCADPassport). In the example below :
    • Description - this is the property I want to create in the part drawing - Reservoir.
    • Item_Code - is the property of the part whose value I want to retrieve.

  • Retrieve the value of the first item in the list of welded parts - This option allows you to retrieve the value of a custom property present in the first item of the list of welded parts. In fact, if the same property has a different value in each item, it is possible to take into account only the value present in the first item of the list.

Depending on the option selected in myCADpassport administration, the drop-down list will point to :

    • Either on the custom properties file defined in SOLIDWORKS general options Weldment.txt.
    • Or on the file automatically generated by the SmartProperties custom input mask Properties.xml.

  • Date/Time - By checking this option, you specify the retrieval format for the date variable. A preview of the date in the selected format is automatically displayed.

  • Environment variables - By checking this option you can retrieve the environment values defined in your Windows system, such as CommenProgramFiles, HOMEPATH, COMPUTERNAME, etc ... You can retrieve all system variables by opening a DOS window and typing "set". You'll then get a list of the variables available for this type of property.

Advanced options - For each of the selected fields, you can access advanced options to retrieve all or part of the values, simply by clicking on the icon .
