The ''Encompassing Box'' mode allows you to create properties for the complete part by specifying :

  • A reference frame for the calculation: the part's origin, the part's main axes or a customized coordinate system.
  • A uniform or different shift along the 3 axes in relation to the choice of reference frame.

To obtain the result in the table, click on the button .


Bounding box offset :

The offset is made all around the part.

Example :

    • by specifying a different value for each of the 3 axes, the results in the table show the calculated values.


 


    • By checking the '' option All the sameA single offset value is required.


 


By choosing a previously created coordinate system, the bounding box is then calculated, taking the offset into account.

Example Select one of the two coordinate systems, "System 1".


 



It is possible to allow the EntityProperties function to always be at the bottom of the construction tree, thus keeping the bounding box up to date despite 3D modifications.
