This mode can be used, for example, to create XYZ annotations attached to selected points or entities.

Start by selecting the data to be extracted (see: Select the coordinates to be extracted)

For example, we're going to use the point or vertex selection mode, and we're going to activate all the selection filters.


 


Simply selecting a circular arc or vertex, for example, automatically creates an associative 3D annotation, meaning that if the model evolves, the annotations are automatically updated.


 


Then validate the function:


 


The tool then creates a Macro Feature at the bottom of the design tree:


 


Any change to the geometry will update the coordinates without the need to re-edit the function, thanks to this Macro Feature.

It is still possible to edit the function to add an annotation or modify the options, for example.

Simply right-click on the function: GetCoordinates3D and choose: Edit function .
