Decline configurations and replace components
Operation possible on assemblies.
In an assembly, this operation creates a "mono-configuration" document for each configuration used. and replace the components in question in the assemblies.
The naming rule :
The operation does not open the documents in SOLIDWORKS unless the declinations do not exist beforehand.
Components with the "IsFastener=1" property are not taken into account.
Components belonging to a library folder (see Options) are not taken into account either.
Example :
Let's take the case of a "ASM1". It includes "Carre"and "Round"each used in different configurations1 hole"and "2 holes".
- Step 1: I define the condition "If the assembly contains a particular component" in the specified folder "E:\...\RPE\BIB" containing components using multiple configurations.
- Step 2: I set up an operation to save each component with the specified name. In this example, the files saved will be "Name" followed by "Configuration name".
Important: the directory defined in the condition must be identical to the location of the documents to be replaced.
As soon as processing is complete, I can see that the files have been created and replaced in the assembly, preserving all associated references and constraints.
A processing report can be displayed, specifying successful and unsuccessful operations.
