SmartCounter - This tool allows you to create counters that allow you to increment a property on each document by creating a unique property.

These counters can be used in any of the following utilities myCADtools properties (BatchProperties, BatchConverter, CloneComponents, Integration, SmartProperties...) and in myPDMtools (ex : SerialNumber).

Add a counter.

Confirm with the counter appears in the drop-down menu.

Select the counter to be deleted from the drop-down menu and use the .

 

Confirm the message to delete the counter.

 


Rename a counter.

Modify the name and confirm with OK.

The value taken for file numbering generally follows the rules imposed when counters are created.

It may be useful to skip a certain number, for example to postpone part of a project, or to reserve a number range for subcontracting part of a project.
