• Create a number reservation:


It is possible to define a range of numbers that will be reserved for future use or for outsourcing part of a design.

Numbers will be reserved starting from the current counter value. In other words, if the last number used in the counter is 10,200, reserving a range of 1,000 numbers for the subcontractor will cause the counter to display 11,201 next.


 


The reservation name is saved (scxml extension).


 


This file can be reimported after it has been used by the subcontractor.

You will receive a message that the next counter reading will be changed.


 


If the subcontractor does not use one of the Visiativ tools, you will need to generate a reservation file in CSV format for them.

 


  • Import a reservation range :


When you click this icon, one of the exported files is loaded. You must select the reservation file that was generated (.scxml).


 


A view of the custom list is displayed, and, most importantly, the next counter value to be taken is provided.

Before the preview appears, informational messages may appear depending on the reservations that have been loaded:

    • If a number reservation already exists (regardless of whether the import was validated)
    • If a meter with the same ID already exists (import failed)


  • View reservations :  


By clicking this button, you can view all reservations created for a meter to verify the start and end values of the numbers that can be assigned to the subcontractor.

In the following example, we can see that two reservations were made on the Client_2 counter (single counter):

    • For the Visiativ_2 reservation, 1,000 numbers have been reserved; the starting number will be 00, and the last number that can be used will be 999.
    • For the Visiativ_1 reservation, 1,500 numbers have been reserved; the starting number will be 1,000, and the last number that can be used will be 1,499.

So the next starting value on my counter will be 1,500.

By clicking on this icon it is always possible to export the reservation file in CSV format.
