Generation location and mapping of variables

Customize the location, name and variables:

Once the connection is established, you must define the root folder in which to publish documents by clicking on this button:

Then just select the shared folder and click on Ok.

The interface also allows you to create folders directly by clicking on:

You just have to fill in the name of the folder to create:

Construction of the architecture or/and the file name

It is also possible to change the name or build a tree structure using PDM variables.

To build a tree structure, simply use the Concatenation of variables

The field will then contain the PDM variables and characters to generate subfolders automatically:

In the default example above, the file will be published in an architecture like this:

SharePoint sitePublished file folder/File name with extension

The published file will automatically contain the extension even if it is not specified for the generation name.

For example, if the published document is a SOLIDWORKS plan document, then the extension slddrw will be automatically added.

Mapping of PDM/SharePoint variables

By clicking on the button:

It is possible to value a SharePoint variable using PDM variable values:

Simply enter the name of the SharePoint field and the name of the PDM variable to be used using the Variable concatenation then click on Add:

If the SharePoint field does not exist, it will be automatically created by the Publish operation.

AttentionFor the field to be created automatically, it is necessary to have the right Sites.Manage.All on the corresponding SharePoint tenant.

If you do not have these rights, you must ask the SharePoint administrator to create these fields.

AttentionSharePoint limits the size of variable names to 255 characters.
