Variables can also be assigned values using a Custom Field type; just as with counters, simply drag the operation into the list.


 


Configuring it is just as simple: just select the name of the variable you want to set.


 


Next, we set the value of the variable. In this example, we'll use the counter (variable AX_PROJECT_NUMBER) created earlier and concatenate it with the variable AX_PROJECT.


 


We will then be able to find this type of result.


 


Variable valuation is calculated for each configuration, so if the project name is different for the Default configuration, the variable displayed for that configuration will be different.
