When using tools that use eDrawings references (PDMViewer or DocPublication), a warning message may appear:



This message indicates that the version of the eDrawings reference installed with myPDMtools is different from the version installed on the workstation.

To avoid this message, it is necessary to replace the eDrawings reference with the locally installed version.


Clicking Yes will open a Windows Explorer in the location of the eDrawings reference to be installed:




This eDrawings reference must now replace the installed reference with the complement myPDMtools

 

Here is the procedure for replacing the reference:


  • Open the SOLIWORKS PDM administration console:
  • Login as a user Admin on a basis.
  • Select the complement myPDMtools and activate the context menu, select Open.
  • In the section: FilesClick on the button: Adding files
  • Browse to the folder containing the eDrawings reference and select the file Interop.EModelView:
  • Confirm the complement window with OK:


It is necessary to launch PDMRestart to update the trunk complement.
