When using tools that rely on eDrawings references (such asPDMViewer or DocPublication), a warning message may appear:



This message indicates that the version of the eDrawings reference installed with myPDMtools is different from the version installed on the computer.

To prevent this message from appearing again, you must replace the eDrawings reference with the version installed locally.


When you click "Yes," a Windows Explorer window will open at the location of the eDrawings reference to be installed:




This eDrawings reference must now replace the reference installed with the myPDMtools add-in

 

Here are the steps for replacing the part:


  • Open the SOLIDWORKS PDM Administration Console:
  • Log in as an Admin user to a database.
  • Select the myPDMtools add-on, open the context menu, and select "Open."
  • In the " Files " section, click the " Add Files " button
  • Browse to the folder containing the eDrawings reference, then select the Interop.EModelView file:
  • Click OK to close the add-on window:


You must run PDMRestart to update the trunk add-on.
