If global variable values are modified from the 3D model, for example directly in the equation manager, it is possible to report these values in the cells of the Excel file.


 


After update :


 


We can notice in the log file that the variable controlling the diameter1 has changed from 100mm to 112mm, that the value of the diameter2 has remained unchanged and above all that the value controlling the distance between circles has not been modified because the cell is controlled by an Excel formula (comment in the Message column). Indeed the cells containing values defined by formulas are not overwritten by the value coming from the SOLIDWORKS document.
