1. Create a sample set of documents:

This package will contain all the options you want to use to generate your package:

    • Type: PDF, folder
    • Name and Location
    • Options
    • Structure and files you always want to export


2- Create an advanced document-add bookmark

Each document will be analyzed and added to the package using an advanced document addition feature, along with its dependencies, based on the rules defined in the favorites.

Note: If you test this in the template, be sure to remove the "Advanced Document Upload" feature from the template; otherwise, it will still be exported.


3- Create a myPDMtools task of the DocBundle type, and select "Create and generate a bundle automatically"

    • Select the type of analysis:
      • File and Dependencies: Analyzes and adds—based on the advanced document-add preference—all dependencies for files whose status changes
      • File or folder: Uses the advanced document-adding feature to add all files whose status changes without any dependencies

      For a folder, there is an option to scan its subfolders

      In the case of a CSV file, it will be parsed and the files or folders listed in it will be processed. The CSV file must be in the following format (including the full path to the file):


 


    • Select the template file for the set of documents that was created earlier
    • Select the "Advanced Document Upload" bookmark you created earlier
    • For the configuration, you can use @ or the first configuration found by using the * character
    • It is also possible to let the user choose the configuration when the task starts

A window will then appear when the program runs:

 

    • It is also possible to add the analyzed document to the batch or to include files used in the process by specifying their file extension; see "Adding Advanced Documents."
    • If you check the option to analyze the drawings specified by the configuration used in the assembly, only those drawings will be added
